Turned out, that an error with 6 blinks (“Bad response on reset”) has something to do with the communication with twitter, referring to the change of authentification method. So, no I can go on debugging from this point (this forum has several hints on that).

It turned out, that the ftdi board from sparkfun didn’t work well. A simple cabel is better and works proper! Fortunately a friend of mine had a cable by accident – otherwise it would have taken some days to order one. Definetly good to know BEFORE you reed the customizing information on the website…

I have the same problem. I have the latest driver installed (coming with the arduino.dmg) and using arduino IDE 0021 and a sparkfun ftdi 3.3v. As long as the ftdi is hooked to usb only the ide seems to recognize the usb-port. when I connect the leaf, usb-port disappears in the concerning menu. Any ideas?

Hi!

Could you explain what is meant by “Bad response on reset”?

Is this indicating a soldering issue or could that be a connection error because of the change of the authentification system used by twitter?
